"The Summer Sounds" was Paul (lead vocals and "VOX Mark IV Bass"), Joe ("VOX Continental Organ"), Dave (lead guitar), Ralph (sax), and Roy (drums).
"The Summer Sounds" was from Dartmouth, Massachusetts with the moody / whiney New England sound explored to the max [PL].
"Up-down" was composed in 1968 and was private pressed in 1969 (Laurel Records 331098).

"Up-down" is a concept moody Garage LP relating a summer vacation love story with the highs and lows of a summer vocation romance.
Appealing basic songs, basement teenage vocals and only 2 covers (one of which is a strong version of "The Spencer Davis Group"'s hit, "Gimme Some Lovin'").

Summer_Sounds,up_down,psychedelic-rocknroll,garage_laurel,new_england,back"Up-down" are one of the better pre-Psychedelic LPs from the Northeast [PL].

These are memories from another era. Those memories became blurred but become recaptured listening to the music. You are there again!
