"The Churchill's" is an Israeli band founded in 1965 in Tel Aviv and formed by "Haim Romano" (guitars, mandolin, vocals), "Miki Gavrielov" (bass, vocals), "Robb Huxley" (guitars, vocals), "Stan Solomon" (vocals) and "Amy Triebitch" (drums); "The Churchill's" was a part of the rhythm bands scene that were active in Israel in the 60's.


The eponymous 1968 album (HED-ARZI 14106) by Israel's "Churchill's" is one of the most sought-after records in the world.
Only released in Israel in 1968, this is an incredible Psychedelic fest with superb tripped out songs in English, amazing multi-layered, phased freaked out Acid guitar solos, weird effects and exotic Arabian instruments.

"The Churchill's" is one of those rarer-than-rare records that actually lives up to its reputation.
From the opening bars of the first song on side One, "Open Your Eyes" - an explosion of ecstatic screams and Fuzz.

Track after track "The Churchill's"' the album continues to astonish, delivering everything from electrifying Psychedelic Rock to evocative pop ballads with equal degrees of skill and originality.

Soulfully delivered vocals, searing Fuzz guitars, spacey sound effects, exotic Eastern flourishes - "The Churchill's" use a dazzling palate of tones and colours, stretching the primitive Tel Aviv studio technology of the day to its limits to create one of the most brilliant Psychedelic albums from anywhere in the world, let alone Israel.

Although there's elements of "The Yardbirds", "The Cream", "Jimi Hendrix Experience", "The Doors", and "The Jefferson Airplane" (especially the studio trickery of "After Bathing At Baxter's"),the sound of "The Churchill's" is very much their own personal vision - a distinct blend of East and West that is unmistakably from their own corner of the world.
